The Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency will host Appreciation Day for customers and staff at the Solid Waste Agency landfill and Resource Recovery building location, 1954 County Home Road, Marion, on Friday, September 15, 2023.
The Solid Waste Agency’s new fiscal year will begin July 01, 2023. There are increases to the garbage and yard waste tipping fees.
The Solid Waste Agency is happy to announce the Mount Trashmore Trails & Overlook will open for the season on Thursday, April 06, 2023. This will be a “soft” opening, as only Overlook Trail, a multi-use trail for bicyclists, runners, and walkers is available to use at this time. Stumptown Trail, for walkers and runners, and Trashmore Trail, the bicyclist only downhill flow-trail, are still drying out and will be available in the weeks ahead, weather permitting.
